Editorial policy

FoodHQ optimises for being right rather than for being large. Where the two conflict, coverage loses.

What we publish

What we refuse

Judgement, and who is accountable for it

Some statements are not findings but decisions — that two terms should not be conflated, or that one concept is a narrower case of another. These are recorded against a named person who takes responsibility for them, and they are never presented as though a source had established them.

That person is FoodHQ’s operator and editor. This is an editorial role, not a professional qualification. It confers no standing to approve food-safety guidance, and the system will not accept it as such.

Commercial separation

No commercial arrangement affects what is published, what a page says, what order anything appears in, or which sources are pursued. There are currently no advertisements or affiliate links anywhere on this site; see Advertising and commercial disclosure for how that would work if it changes.
